About Us
Tessa met her first spinning wheel at age 8, and has spent the interceding twenty years spinning everything from silk to camel hair to dog fuzz on her double-drive Ashford. She studied fiber arts with Judith McKenzie from 1992 to 1994, and she has extensive experience with felting, dying, weaving, dying, knitting, hand book-binding, architectural drafting, paper-making, basketry, ceramics, and quilting. Tessa lives in Portland, Oregon with her two cats Celsius and Sprocket. Her current craft obsession is half-hexagon quilt piecing<link here to personal flickr>, and her favorite breakfast is black pepper biscuits.
Many thanks are due to SpinThing’s development consultants, Kathleen and Jamie.
